Pebble Beach Company Frequently Asked Questions

How may I access Pebble Beach Golf Links?
All guests of The Lodge at Pebble Beach, The Inn at Spanish Bay and Casa Palmero have access to Pebble Beach Golf Links and the other courses at Pebble Beach Resorts. Only Resort guests may reserve tee times more than 24 hours in advance at Pebble Beach.

What are room and golf booking guidelines for individual travelers?
Guests of The Lodge at Pebble Beach and The Inn at Spanish Bay may book up to 18 months in advance. Guests of Casa Palmero may book up to 12 months in advance, subject to availability. We recommend booking early to avoid disappointment.

The following Golf Booking Guidelines are subject to availability:
  • Hotel guests are encouraged to request golf tee times at time of room booking.
  • A minimum 2-night stay is required to play Pebble Beach Golf Links.
  • On all other courses, 1 round may be booked per night of stay.
  • Up to 2 players may be booked per room, based on room occupancy.
  • Non-Resort guests may book The Links at Spanish Bay or Del Monte Golf Course up to 2 months in advance, Spyglass Hill Golf Course up to 1 month in advance, and Pebble Beach Golf Links 1 day in advance.
  • Two night minimum stay is required for a weekend stay.
What is the cancellation policy?
A deposit equal to two nights stay is required at the time of booking. Cancellations for both rooms and golf must be made 14 days prior to arrival. Cancellations made less than 14 days prior to arrival or play will be charged the full deposit.

What are the busiest months at Pebble Beach Resorts?
April through November is the busiest period. The Lodge at Pebble Beach, The Inn at Spanish Bay and Casa Palmero are year-round resorts.

How far apart are The Resorts?
The Lodge and Casa Palmero are adjacent to one another; The Inn at Spanish Bay is approximately 7 miles away (10 minutes by car).

What is the best way to get from one course to another?
Courtesy shuttles are available to transport guests between The Resorts and the golf courses.

What kind of weather should I expect?
Daytime temperatures on the Monterey Peninsula range from 50-75 degrees year-round and vary throughout the day. Mornings are often foggy; afternoons are frequently balmy. It is best to dress in layers and carry a water-resistant wind shirt or jacket. Please note that it rarely rains between April and October.

What attire is appropriate for the courses?
Collared shirts with slacks or walking shorts; no blue jeans please.

What kind of spikes are recommended?
Soft spikes are recommended but not required. Multi-stud, rubber-soled shoes are not recommended.

Should I take a caddie or a cart?
Because Pebble Beach Golf Links offers what is regarded as perhaps the greatest walk on Earth, we suggest a caddie. As course experts, Pebble Beach caddies can help you read greens and gauge yardages. Moreover, they can enhance a once-in-a-lifetime golf experience by sharing some of the rich legend and lore of Pebble Beach. Alternatively, you may carry your own bag or use a cart.

What is the fee for a caddy?
The rate for a caddy is $75 per bag plus gratuity.

What courses may I play during my visit to Pebble Beach Resorts?
In addition to Pebble Beach Golf Links and The Links at Spanish Bay, the there are the spectacular Spyglass Hill Golf Course and one inland locale, Del Monte Golf Course in Monterey.

What types of rental clubs do you offer?
The Pebble Beach courses have the finest golf equipment available: Callaway Golf X-20 irons, Callaway X-series woods, and a Callaway Odyssey putter. They are available for $90 per set.

What other activities can you recommend during my stay?
The Monterey Peninsula is world-famous for its natural beauty and compelling attractions. In Monterey, explore the colorful Fisherman’s Wharf, historic Cannery Row and the popular Monterey Bay Aquarium. The charming shops and art galleries of Carmel-by-the-Sea are irresistible. The short drive down the Pacific coast to Big Sur is one of the most celebrated stretches of highway found anywhere. And all along the Peninsula you can enjoy some of the nation's finest, most creative restaurants.

What airports are convenient to Pebble Beach?
There are several. Here on the Peninsula, 20 minutes from the Pebble Beach Resorts is Monterey Peninsula Airport. Most large carriers have flights into Monterey. In addition, San Jose International Airport is about 90 minutes north, while San Francisco International Airport is about 2 hours north.

What is the best way to get to Pebble Beach from The Monterey Peninsula Airport?
