The Peter Hay Memorial

The Hay welcomes all juniors, ages 6 to 18, to play in an individual stroke play competition on Sunday, April 14, 2024! This tournament honors former, long-time Head Professional Peter Hay, who was a prime advocate for junior golf. Hay began the youth tournament back in 1937 during his time at Del Monte Golf Course. After a hiatus during World War II, Hay resumed the tournament on Pebble beach Golf Links in 1948. Pebble Beach will carry on the tradition at the par-3 course, The Hay. We look forward to a fun day of competition on the course!

Competition will be divided into the following four flights:

• Boys & Girls 6-7: 18-hole putting course score (9 holes)
• Boys 8-10: 9-hole Hay score plus 9 hole putting course score (18 holes)
• Girls 8-10: 9-hole Hay score plus 9 hole putting course score (18 holes)
• Boys 11-14: 18-hole Hay score plus 9 hole putting course score (27 holes)
• Girls 11-14: 18-hole Hay score plus 9 hole putting course score (27 holes)
• Boys 15-18: 18-hole Hay score plus 9 hole putting course score (27 holes)
• Girls 15-18: 18-hole Hay score plus 9 hole putting course score (27 holes)

Spectators:

• 6-7 Divisions: One parent/guardian to accompany participant on putting course.
• 8+ Divisions: No spectators on course. Competition viewing from outside the perimeter fence line.
