On the last day of dicey weather forecasts for this year’s AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, the rain stayed away. A tremendous leaderboard soon formed, with Jordan Spieth streaking to the top, world No. 1 Jason Day in hot pursuit, and big names like Patrick Reed, Dustin Johnson and Brandt Snedeker all in the mix.
Here were our favorite moments from Friday:
HOW JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE WAITS OUT A FOG DELAY
Driving range goofball. #ATTProAm
A video posted by Justin Timberlake (@justintimberlake) on
You can see his caddie’s elbow move up jussst a little bit to make the catch, but that’s a pretty good flop shot. Justin Timberlake is playing to a 4-handicap this week.

It’s still Pebble, and it’s still golf.

We agree! After rain all night, the fog was a pleasant sight — even if that meant it was difficult to see. About 80 players jumped back on the course at 8:30 a.m. to finish their first rounds, and the second round teed off at 10:30 a.m.
PEYTON MANNING CONNECTS WITH FAN FOR SWEET SCORE
The play call? “You catch it, I’ll sign it,” Peyton Manning told the eager fan. So the fan jumped out of a house party above the fifth green at Spyglass Hill and chased down Manning’s pass in front of a pot bunker to score a sweet signature.

The PGA TOUR rookie, fresh off his first win two weeks ago at Torrey Pines, made a monster move to start his round at Pebble Beach, sinking six straight birdies from Nos. 2-7. Jon Rahm began the round in 57th place after a 1-over 73 at Spyglass Hill, but jumped all the way to second after his rousing run.
ANYTHING PHIL CAN DO, JORDAN CAN DO BETTER
Watch Jordan Spieth outdo Phil Mickelson from the same stymied spot — behind the tree hugging the left side of the 10th fairway at Spyglass Hill.
SPIETH STREAKS TO TOP WITH EIGHT BIRDIES AT SPYGLASS HILL
Spieth now has 13 birdies in two rounds after a second-round 7-under 65 at Spyglass Hill, but that’s barely enough to keep him tied with Derek Fathuer atop the leaderboard at 10-under. Jason Day is just one shot back after playing his first 12 holes at Spyglass Hill in a sizzling 7-under before play was suspended by fog.
JIM FURYK GOES BAREFOOT FOR BUNKER SHOT
With a stance on the slick boardwalk that cuts across the fairway bunker along the left side of No. 13 at Pebble Beach, Ryder Cup Captain Jim Furyk played this creative shot.
NO. 7 AT PEBBLE BEACH IS TOO SHORT FOR ANDREW LOUPE

Andrew Loupe leads the PGA TOUR in driving distance at 319.4 yards a pop. But hitting it that far can mean its difficult to throttle down on the shortest hole of the PGA TOUR — the 106-yard No. 7 at Pebble Beach. Loupe found himself well over the seventh green, in some hidden ice plant.
